Hello everyone. This post is kinda just for fun.
Music is something that has been immensely beneficial to me through my entire life, especially after my K awakening.
I find that listening to some music causes a "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings." (I got this quote from the poet William Wordsworth. I can certainly relate to the notion of "wandering lonely as a cloud" after my awakening).
In any case, listening to some songs/certain musicians can cause spontaneous sensations of energy (spinal shivers as I call them) which travel up my spine and into my brain (Interesting to note that I actually experienced this phenomenom before my K awakening when listening to certain songs).
Indeed, listening to certain music can occasionally send me into somewhat blissful/ ecstatic states.
Here are some songs that definitely have had an effect on my kundalini:
"Return of the She-King" by Dead Can Dance
"Wait" and "Oceans Niagra" by M83 (just saw M83 in concert last week and they were amazing!)
"Kallocain" (Robert Nickson Remix) by Endre
"Olsen Olsen" and "Hoppipolla" by Sigur Ros
"Walk With Me" by Grand Tapestry
All of these songs can be listened to on YouTube.
Anybody have any kundalini reactions to certain songs or artists? I would love some music suggestions, especially artists I am not famililar with!
Hello Stephen and thanks for the topic! Yes, I can relate😊. Music has been a beautiful way for me to feel energy and express myself since I was young. It seems to be prominent in my life journey. At a concert in 2019 and after dancing for nearly 2hrs, I experienced a white light flash that encompassed my inner/outer vision. 5 months later as I was sitting in meditation is when I felt the energy rumbling at the base of my spine then travel upwards and out the crown. I feel very grateful for all the describable and indescribable ways that Music gives to life. Love being able to "feel" it!! Thank you for sharing some of the music that moves you and for your experience😁
Hey everyone. Great to get some music recommendations. Haven't had time to listen to all of them, but when I have time I will.
Sameer: I am a huge Radiohead fan. I also love Depeche Mode. Always have.
Just an interesting tidbit: I noticed in some of the YouTube comments of the songs that really move me that some of the commenters experience "goosebumps" when listening to these songs. Just an interesting observation I made. Maybe somehow related to K?
Hi Stephen My experience of music and Kundalini is very similar to yours. Like you I experience these shivers in my spine and chest when I listen to certain songs that are of great importance to me. This experience was, just like in your case, also with me before the actual awakening, but not to the same degree and with the same persistence. To me this is not just a quirky detail, but something that is of great importance in my process. It feels like an inner cleansing, and gives me reassurance that I am safely in the process of becoming what I am.
All the best, Johan --> By the way: How wonderful to find this group. I would very much like to participate in one of the online meet ups!
Not sure that I have experienced Spinal shivers but I have always gelt a deep connection between music, rhythm, and my body. This became more so after having a Kundalini awakening, This is a list (maybe a growing list) of tracks that move me during the process.
