Hello everyone. I am currently laid up with fatigue, nausea and feeling malaised. Yes, it could just be a virus, but it could also be part of the purification process. My question is, if this does turn out to be part of the process of purging will it simply pass with time if I am just patient with it, or is it also necessary to do some kind of healing process on it such as finding and releasing underlying trauma and buried emotion like Tara Springett recommends in her books? My question is really then: is patience enough for symptoms to pass or do they need to be worked on and released through psycho=spiritual processes? Any insights into this would be very welcome.

My insight on this... it depends! Yes, physical symptoms and illnesses can be a manifestation of underlying mental-emotional-spiritual imbalances/unprocessed experiences, for sure. I wouldn't say that looking for the underlying trauma/buried emotion is something you need to do, more that it is something that can be supportive. Sometimes going through the illness can itself be transformative, but often there is more that the illness is trying to make conscious. The symptoms are a messenger that will persist until you get the message. I would tune into what feels true to you, approaching this in a loving, unpressured way. You can even ask your body - it will tell you what it needs to say, if you ask. Allow the answer to come in its own time. :-)
I kind of look at this differently. I think kundalini process can takes a big toll on the neurophysiology and it needs to be supported with right diet and lifestyle to help combat this. I don’t think of all sickness as purging that needs to be worked on from a psychological perspective. I think a knowledge of Ayurveda is very helpful and supportive herbs at different stages/for different ailments.
