As a psychotherapist I’ve always had an interest in the link between trauma, conditioning and our level of consciousness. I view the kundalini awakening process as an extension of my healing journey so the focus is primarily on embodiment rather than transcendence. In my case it was exploring my behavioural patterns, conditioned mind and emotional wounds that led into the spiritual realm. This is explored in the attached video featuring renowned trauma therapist Dr Peter Levine. He discusses the crossover between trauma, therapy and kundalini. I'm passionate about bringing awareness to this as I’ve often witnessed in my work how trauma healing can bring about profound shifts in consciousness. The transformative power of the body is sometimes overlooked in spirituality but I consider embodiment and transcendence to be equally important on our journey to full consciousness.

Interesting video, thank you for sharing. I have read some of Peter Levine's books and I wondered if he had an awareness of kundalini.
I have mixed feelings on this topic since my initial kundalini activation started when I was a client in a counselling session. I had no previous knowledge of kundalini and no interest in spiritual awakenings as such.
I had, however, been experiencing a lot of synchronicity which I talked about with my counsellor and I also drew pictures of my dreams and gave my interpretations of them. It was clear that something very strange was going on!
I suppose my counsellor was just a witness to what happened to me but when the lightning bolt hit, I was left with no support and nobody to talk to who could explain or understand what I was going through.
My hope is that one day, all therapists will have an awareness of kundalini and spiritual awakenings so that experiencers can get the support they need. It's great to read that you are passionate about raising awareness of the crossovers and actively working in this area.
