Dana's presentation 'How Somatic and Expressive Arts can Support an Energetic Awakening' is now online.
Description: Energetic awakenings happen in the body. By recruiting the inherent wisdom of the body through particular somatic techniques, strong energetic experiences can deepen into insight, or be lessened and released when necessary. Using a technique called the Psychokinetic Imagery Process, based on the work of Anna Halprin and the Tamalpa Institute, Dana discusses ways to work with energy patterns moving through the body.
Bio: Dana Swain, PhD, REAT, is a Jungian psychologist and registered expressive arts therapist. She works with clients undergoing spiritual and creative transformations, weaving together a Jungian perspective with body-oriented self-inquiry, creative arts, and dreamwork. She is the author of “When the Light Breaks Through: Understanding Kundalini Experiences Through Psychology, Body, and Story.” Dana lives in Northern California.
