The promise of Kundalini
A full Kundalini awakening rising all the way to the crown chakra (Sahasrara) and beyond can naturally lead directly into the experiential realization described by Advaita Vedanta and the non-dual recognition of an "all-one" reality. While these two traditions stem from different frameworks—one focusing on subtle energy, chakras, and the nervous system (Tantric and Yogic traditions), and the other on direct inquiry into the nature of consciousness (Upanishadic philosophy)—they often describe the exact same ultimate territory from different vantage points.
The Intersection of Energy and Consciousness:
In traditional models, Kundalini is often described as the primordial energy (shakti) lying dormant at the base of the spine, which ascends through the central channel (sushumna nadi) to merge with pure consciousness (shiva) at the crown.
